hey you - (nice and personal like),....i need a favor - the favor is to go to my bands page..(seventy - for those 8 of you havent noticed) and read the blog - ROGUESTOCK 2008! - while yer their - give a listen to our new tunes  - 2 birds - one fookin large stone,..thanks - that wudnt that hard was it? - for the six of you who refuse to meander to that blog,.roguestock is aug 23rd,..my annual summer bash 2PM - music about 4 or so - 10 bands or so ,.swimmim,..bbq,..etc,..email me for address if you dont have,...some incredible bands - 2 of which - i cant even post,..yep - they are that  huge..anyways - i hope life is grand and people arent messin you up,..ALSO -  this weekend - 2 free 70 shows!! - FRI- 80808 - concerts in the park -  SEVENTY hits at about 7:30 - jsut after SHANNON CURTIS - BOBBY ZOPPI BAND- BRANDON TYLER - also - sat 80908 - 2ND saturday artwalk - 18th & Lst midtown sacto - 6pm - at barbers shop alfa - with the bathtub gins,.free - k - so there ya have it in nutshells and witchspells,....giggity giggity giggity!!!

ah yes... the dog days,...of mysummerspace -

the hot,smoky california summah time blues,..greens,..and brilliant redsy orangy yellowee-ness - my eyes are on firey-itch  mode - no end in site,..yet - betwixt and between all the heated madness - and a bit of a needed break from the computer,..

i will check in - and am hopin you are all excellent in some of fashion,..this being mid-july - you'd think i would have a date for 'roguestock' - but i dont - logistics have a bit daunting this year - but IT will happen,..my guess is aug 2nd or 23rd - and i should know in about a week or so,..

im quite happy to report that our (SEVENTY) new disc is out -(MOODS)  and in stores..locally - R5,the beat,and le dimple,..also thru - itunes,snocap,cd baby,..and worldwide distribution,...is forthwith,..so far the press is great,.and the buzz is buzzing..(nice) -the main reason for a bit of a time out from l'space - plain ol' exhaustion,..the wrapping of the recording,.production and all the lil tings,..took it out of me,...and - there is always fallout - from the screen break,.some folk - took it personally,.which is weird,..when yer talkin about a 'spacefriend' - wha- eva,...sorry to have lost someone - i dont even know,..thats so 2000's - hehe,...anyways -

goodwilling,.and the creek dont rise,..i will post the the 'roguestock' date  fer definite on monday - yes - i meant 'good-willing' - anyways cheers to all - and please dont hesitate to sample a few of the new chunes on the 70space,.

famous last words,..i said i would blog more,..and just like that - the time to do so went away,..

ees,. cool - but it got me thinking,..how did i get here - to le space,..why did it hook me so,..well - fer starters..it was a band thing.we played with a great band in fairfax cal,.(a bit north of frisco) in 2004..the fitts,..great,stonsy americana band - after the show they said we could get ahold of them on myspace..we were like - isnt that the place where teenagers meet stalkers?,.'just check out the 'music' section - its workin for us ' - we took their advice - there were 29 million users - 10 times that now,...immediately it worked for us in terms of networking,gigs,contacts,,etc,..but quite soon after - the 5 of us sharing our music page realized - its better for us to get personal pages - alot of confusion was gone - quicklike,...its still working - for us,.but there are now dozens of other 'newer,better sites' - havent seen that pan out yet,..we'll stay put for now

so - on to the personal site,..i have made friends with people i only knew from a distance locally,..,made some with people - i probably will never meet,..some i plan to meet,...regardless - some feel like 'real' friends - genuine,..i mean,.if you a shyster or a fake,..in the real - it shows up perty quickly,..

i totally unnerstands why gals would go 'private' on le space,.lotso lonely dudes in cyberia,..i get it,..but guys who go private,...yer hiding somethin.from somebody - er from yerself,..heck i've been stalked here,...so ya block someone

i think its important to watch how much personal info you put - this a public site people - 'what would mommy say' thats my rule,..(mom dont have a cpu,but)

oh yes,.my list of 'music' - some have asked me if im a snob,.or bragging,..whatever,..it is listed for the education of you,..all i need to say is that more than a few people have checked out a band i list - that had no idea ..and it turns out - its now their fave -and i have found bands that i would never have otherwise that are now some of my faves.........

im gonna stop now,.cuz i have a list of things that could make this a book,.maybe i will  do a  few at a time,..

oh,.yeah - the reason i havent been to participatory heres...we had to finish our second cd - so that we could release it in may...the 31st to be exact..we will post some new tunes next week,.(fer locals)be sure to check out alive & kicking,.we got the cover for may! - wanna thank kepi,kevin seconds and danny secretion for that,.ha!- seriously - thank you jerry perry and yer awesome team of bleeders!..i will blog about that too - thanks fer lettin me spew - cheers

todays is just a short dip into the water,..i have been meaning to blog,.it was even a resolution,which suck ass to make anyways - (to write more)  but life in the 'real' has precluded this - lets just say 'time' usta be plentiful,....

okay on to it-

the writers strike is ovah!!! thank you very much,..this is good news,.real good news - im not speakling on behalf of the people who watch tv,..if tv's yer deal great,..but i jis' caint feel sorry fer ya...maybe you picked up a hobby or activity you might not have otherwise,..hey - look at you - special person,.i did resolve to be more sarcastic,..how'm i doin?

talkin bout the indusrty and all the folk who are affected by it,..it is endless - from cafes,.to service,literally thousands of jobs,.before you even get on to the lot,.not to mention those ever important grips and gaffers,etc..the whole trickle up trickle down,...alot of people were hurtin,.still are - by the stoppage

of course - i have an interest-  i was on my down to work on some things,.when the strike hit,..what is it with me and timing? no worries - all good ,.im better for it- ha! - there will be a period of 're-grouping' goin on,..not sure if the ideas that we so hot then are as hot now,..all ya can do,.is go for it - i promise to aprise you

- now this might be going a bit to far,..

a local (L.A)- grocery chain,.that was dyin on the vine,.cuz of the strike - is so happy to be back in biz (as usual) that there marketing dept might have gone a bit overboard on their happiness of the strike ending - for they hung a banner in the produce dept - that says -

" WELCOME BACK!PEOPLE! - THEIR WILL BE BLOOD - ORANGES!

'travel and places' really? y'think?

first off,.thanks my wunnerful spacepals fer glancing at me blogs....btw - i posted comments..post trip - didnt wanna jinx anything

oodles and oodles of fun - been home 2 days..and finally feelin myself again,..if you've never been to so fo.(south florida - google it) its worth the trip,..if you have y'know from wheres i speak,.kinda like leavin the country..tropical,great food,clubs,.music,..etc.without having to go thru customs,....our group of 20,..met a few hundred other buffalo beels fans,..our hotel (yankee clipper) was jam packed wiffem,..just really great people - and all the locals were fun too,.cant really think of any negative event,..other than having to leave....the ocean water was about 75 degrees - not one shark citing,..we almost drained the county of rum,...a bit of a scare - oh yeah - the game,..it wasnt a barnburner,.but it didnt matter - by sunday we just needed a place to sit - and the bills won,..sorry miami - we tried to give it to ya....

i'd do this trip again,..in a heartbeat - but i think next year will be fun too...cuz were doin a home game - my turn to yell at the visiting teams fans (all in good fun)cant wait! - -  hello buffalo!!!

i havent been as active here,on l'space...y'know - the 'real' and all,.can get a bit hectic - albiet,all good,...and now im off again - but ile be back with a vengeance next week,..that writ,..

here goes my compulsion for also giving the backstory,..

so my pal lars,.also drummer in me band, is originally from buffalo new york,..how he ended up in sacrow-illiac i have no idea,..he is also a long suffering Buffalo Bills fan...as a way to keep intouch with his buffaleezy cuzzins,.every year they attend a bills road game - for a few days of bonding and what not -the cuzzn's,uncles,nephews -all tween like 21 and 50,.they are a riot,..the nicest goodfellas ya ever did meet,. i kid - so the past few years he has invited us,..his band to join in the fun,.this will be my 3rd trip,.i have also attended games in seattle and dallas,with this group of guys,..a ton of fun,.- this year - erm,.tomorow we fly to miami,..85 and humid,..mojitos and umm,.mojitos - and jai lai - and lest i ferget - horatio cane,imaginary copper,...colored,,,hair

salsa anyone?.

thats it fer now,. nuthin earth shatterin - just a little fun with the boys..possibly a few mullet and camaro jokes,take it easy,joey - im just kiddinggah'

yep,.i'm one - the first step to recovery is admission - the anonymous(in most cases) spitfire of info,.shot thru the veins of fellow ranters,..as we await our fix,.

 at first, i only  read,.then figured,..umm,. i like to engage,..i like to participate,..i'll say 'this',..and then 'that'.....i should say more - and admit that most of my blogworthy missive ideas come when im nowhars near a cpu,..such harshness - i have scratched the surface here on l'space and follow a few others. i am surprised tho,.blogging IS  the new pink,.(i believe thats a myspace group,too) but it is also true.entertainment - pure and simple,.like a video game with word bullets,..and title bombs,..and tirade grenades...love it. early on,when i was one of only 30 million spacers i came across anton alfred newcombe - of the brilliant yet misunderstood yet agrivatingly awesome brian jonestown masacre - this guy is on fire all the time,very entertaining and supersmart,..i emailed him a msg,.telling him wouldnt he be better served on a 'news' site or a more 'blog' specific site? he emailed me back like in a minute,.telling me that myspace has more active participants and readers than any other,..that 'this' is the site to be read,..he included actual figures to back it up,.even way back then,.(2 1/2 yrs ago) myspace crushed other sites,in participatants...i replied 'touche'..so now theres over 200 mil? sweet lobotomy-tinis,hold the olive,please - what on erf is goin on here? i bring all this up,.for a couple of reasons. one is,here on l'space any one is free to do it,.and i say go for it....but its like 'open mic' night - you have to sift thru alot of crap,.and then blammo,.effing brilliance hits you upside,...most of the bloggers here who toot their own horn,are the ones who caint get a writing job - thus,we are subject to their self considered importance.ye olde double edge...

i didnt give any of this that much thought until last week - i was watching 'my name is earl'.as it ended and credits rolled,.the voice over pipes in,.log onto nbc.com and chat live with jason lee,.and read all his earlblogs.."like whaa?" *jist like mo slezak* - then 30 ROCK ends...samething,.but - its tina fey,..- you are telling me..i can 'chat' with tina fey and read her blog?..are u fekking kidding me?there is NO escape,...so anyways - more time passes,..and since time aint waiting for any of us - i am going to suggest 3 writers,.notice i didnt say bloggers,.not to slag bloggers,..but since 'anyone' can,..not all are writers - and i am assuming more - that you are smart enough to use a cpu - and check out these persons - then read their shite,...and take with it with a grain of salt and maybe add a dash to your blogsalad as it were - heres goes - maureen dowd (nytimes.com) camille paglia (salon.com) neva chonin (sfgate.com),.

well- starting to get me legs and mind back,..

ROGUESTOCK ELEVEN has come and gone and i cant express my thank yous' and graditudes enough - if not the best one,.about as close as it gets,..in one word,amazing  - the music,the food,the food prepareres,the people,.the torches,.the fireworks,the jello shooters and mango mojitos(i know,i know,and im straight). where do i begin,.about 80 degrees,sunny, and 150 of my closest pals - the newbies and long distance travelers were in force,.lets see- san diego,santa barbara,san francisco,reno,los angeles,chico,davis,los gatos,cool,auburn,stockton...all represented - and ascended on the shire known as the estate on rogue river drive,.hence - 'the stock' - it is alot of work,.but its quite worth it - and there will be a 12 - oh yes,.

i want to thank the bands,..all of you rocked amazingly,.(pix and vids soon)

from ess eff the PBR STREETGANG ,.sactos,THE PEABODY INCIDENT,TATTOOED LOVEDOGS,THE POLYMERS,THE ANCIENT SONS,SEVENTY,TH' LOSIN STREAKS - all of this in me living room,.glorious as fuck,.scuse the 'fuck' part,.no other way to put it,..hell,.my pop,who'd been quite ill a few days before - came,.cheers dadday! - with family and friends like this - .i am truly speechless, and those of you who know me,.know thats not possible - i am going to do an addendum with lots more details to this,.when im a bit more clear,. - oh,.special thanks to scotty and skid for babysitting a few who needed it,..skid,we'll send carmela a bill for the eye thingy,..good intentions gone horribly wrong,..welcome into fold clarisse,.hope we dint ruin ya too much,..
