there is nothing still in these frames enough to capture with flawless clarity to acquire focus, choices are made and carried by the turning of a dial
open wider or become narrower yet which will render the greatest beauty while allowing the passage of light only for these measures of consequence is the process of development intended

self reflection...

the sun is oft too bold it gleams vigorously with pure intention breathing searing warmth into the atmosphere the beams so bright eyes bend from the glare
let me emulate the moon; attenuates the harsh rays engenders luminescence in gentle virtue lashes turn up to see the truth of it's form

straw man...

the tall tale man built of straw as sturdy as he looks bows where once erect he stood upon his pole affixed
flimsy fabricated limbs give out to his descent candor's flame though lightly lit leaves cinders where he sits

walk the plank...
Current mood: impressed

there were a few black seconds before the nick grazed bone i watched while he paddled through suctioned sanguineous water propelled by a metallic oar he rode the shore grounded his anchor searched out his mark and quarried like a miner he burrowed wet deep and porous hauling chunks of the isle until solely soft sand fell between his soiled hands followed by fluent twists of his wrists as he sculled aback vigorous tides

bodies the exhibition
Category: Travel and Places
i had the pleasure of visiting "Bodies: The Exhibition" this past sunday in NYC Southstreet Seaport. it was amazing! if anyone is in (or planning to get into) the medical field or is just intrigued by human anatomy, i would highly recommend a trip into the city to see this. the exhibit is composed of human cadavers that are selectively stripped to display specific areas of the human body and then are preserved indefinitely through a polymer hardening process which alone is sheer art:
"A human specimen is first preserved according to standard mortuary science. The specimen is then dissected to show whatever it is that someone wants to display. Once dissected, the specimen is immersed in acetone, which eliminates all body water. The specimen is then placed in a large bath of silicone, or polymer, and sealed in a vacuum chamber. Under vacuum, acetone leaves the body in the form of gas and the polymer replaces it, entering each cell and body tissue. A catalyst is then applied to the specimen, hardening it and completing the process. This method of preservation creates a specimen that will not decay. This offers thousands of unique teaching possibilities for educators at all levels, including medical professionals, archeologists and other scientists. " – www.bodiestheexhibition.com
there are so many displays, it can take hours to get through. it took our group from SCC College almost 5 hours! that just goes to show how much there is to see. each room is a dedicated to a different body system and shows healthy tissues/bones/organs as well as those affected by diseases processes. here's some examples although this doesn't begin touch the real thing...

***this part really pulled my heart strings as there was an entire room dedicated to embryonic development and fetal disorders, but overall the exhibition allowed for incredible insight and unique perspective into the human body »

expiration...
Current mood: pensive
Category: Writing and Poetry
spontaneity of breath is not so reliant on the ability to distend as it is on the recoil elaborate compartments facilitate an open exchange within a protective barrier ensuing in even, sinuous interactions amid fricative layers the toxins introduced when smoke is inhaled destroys the delicate structure of walls and decreases elasticity much like a depleted rubber-band incapable of returning to its original size

psyche...
Current mood: contemplative
Category: Writing and Poetry
one day, i met with a woman who recited fairytales
of these fables i was the heroine and her narration seemingly detailed rested on a broad base as she flipped the pages of
my
life
gently marching lines unleashed in epic breath her every sentence slurred through the vernacular until I was vacant in the drone suspended in my venue
it was an abrupt snap not her own that brought me to veracity
and i became intrigued by the language and better able to comprehend the terms without an interpreter
