God Is Good .... !!!
Current mood: Grateful to God
Category: Grateful to God Life

No matter what kinds of trials we go through .... God is still good!!! Somebody from another church dropped off a bunch of groceries for us, probably at least $100.00 worth of food, including two gallons of fresh milk and lots of meat.

Thank you Lord for providing, and for giving us the strength we need to get through life's trials.

Our Crazy Roommate Is Finally Gone!!!
Current mood: pissed off
Category: Life

Our crazy roommate is finally gone!! We've been harassed by this total nutcase for nearly seven months. She has been harassing me and my children, threatening my kids, stealing our stuff, accusing us of stealing her things, and even breaking into her room and car .....

She is dilusional, imagines things (like people riding in her car, when nobody is even there!!), thinks everyone is conspiring against her, constantly talking trash, about everybody's problems, very negative ......

Just before she left with the last load, she stole my little boy's Picture Bible he got from church!! How low can someone get .... She also stole my oldest son's heavy/exspensive winter jacket, and my dad's medicine (over $1,500.00), then tried to frame my son!!!

What a terrible nightmare .... living with this low-life monster from hell!!!!!

Now we have peace at last!! We have our lives and our home back ..... Thank you Lord!!!!

God Is Good!!
Current mood: depressed
Category: Life

Benny and I went to the concert at Celebrate Recovery at Shelter Cove. The music and worship was great! Dara went to the snow with Donnie. I told him to bring us back some snow!! Devotion reading for today, from Proverbs 19: Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Life is Tough, God is still Good ....
Current mood: tired
Category: Life

It's been awhile since I've added anything to my blogs. Our family has been in crisis mode for a long time. Problems with my two boys ..... and now we're in the middle of organizing and packing, getting ready to move, that is, when we find a place.

Weather is warming up, cactus garden is blooming, flower garden is looking good, I'm recovered from a terrible infection (coughing, headaches, stuffed up, high fevers ....). Back to working both graveyard and days .... just starting to get used to flip-flopping work hours.

Between working and packing, not much time for any leisure activities. Peter Whitebird was at Celebrate Recovery several weeks ago. Brother Pete is a blessing! His music and comedy brings joy and tears ...... Last week, another good testimony at Celebrate Recovery.

Today I had to attend CPR training at the Red Cross, employer requirements. The techniques has been revised a bit. They no longer recommend taking the victim's pulse, but instruct us to go into CPR immediately.

I've been reading through Proverbs each month as pastor Joe suggested. I always feel so much better when I read God's word!! I've also been reading through the Daily Reflections. Still reading Jesus Freaks, Volume Two, by DC Talk. The stories are encouraging. Still reading the Pilgrim's Progress.

Oh yes, major overhall to my laptop. Had to erase the hard drive. Lost all of my e-mail!!! Not cool .... Thanks to Carbon Copy Cloner, which deleted my e-mail completely!!! At least I had three partial backup folders, which I'm still working on restoring. Have to go through over 100,000 e-mail messages, reorganize, delete duplicates, and create new rules all over again.

Well, that's enough rambling for now. Time to rest. Another big day tomorrow ..... Thank you Lord for this day, another day I can see the beauty of your creation, hear the voice of my children, and chat with friends, and listen to good Christian music, and enjoy good food.

Our First Christmas Tree ... !!!
Current mood: grateful
Category: Friends

This will be our first Christmas with a Christmas tree!! Our good friend, Kurt, bought us a Christmas tree!! I remember when my parents used to have a Christmas tree when I was very young. I've never had my own Christmas tree, and my children have never the experience of having a Christmas tree, so this will be a totally new and awesome expierience for all of us!!!

Thanks so much Kurt, and may God bless you!

Pray for Michael (In the Hospital)
Current mood: sad
Category: Life

We are praying for Michael Johnson, who is in the hospital with cancer. Dara, Benjamin and I went to see Michael after Celebrate Recovery tonight. Several others from Celebrate Recovery were there, and Michael two daughters.

We all miss you Michael at Celebrate Recovery. I always enjoy hearing you share your stories during the small group at Big Valley and Shelter Cove. Lord willing, I hope that we can get together sometime.

I hope that I can get copies of your music. The samples I've heard sound good! May God give you His peace and may the Holy Spirit comfort you Michael.

Gardening
Current mood: grateful
Category: Life

Worked in the garden this morning. Had to put up a fence to keep the dog out. Maybe I'll plant some carrots and beets tomorrow ...... Still pretty chilly outside, even with the sun shining.
