postings come and go, but it has been awhile since our last one - we are not really that lazy, just a tad bit busy, really. anyhow, things are stewing on the VP front. Our good friends at Gold Robot Records and the IODA Alliance are handling the digital distribution of the VP - EP. It is available now on Amazon.com for download and will soon be on itunes.

We are overwhelmed at the response, interest and affection that volunteer pioneer has received, our heartfelt thanks to everyone.

In related news, Lady Genius is set to record a 4 song 7" Ep for Gold Robot Records that has a tentative release date of spring '08. check back here and on the Lady Genius page for updates.

lady genius

There has been alot going on since our last update. First of all, thank you to everyone who picked up a copy of the EP, your support is greatly appreciated. Also, West Coast Performer has a nice little review of said EP in its July issue.

The new project called "Lady Genius" is well under way - we've been rehearsing, doing a little recording and looking forward to our first show at the Makeout Room in late august. Lady Genius features Kyle Williams (vocals/guitar/keys), Ashley Brewer (vocals/keys), Jason Byers (guitar), Brian Caraway (bass) and Matt Stromberg (drums). Other developments:
We are currently working on and rehearsing a new project and will begin recording material for an upcoming compilaiton CD (details to come). The new band will include more instrumentation with plenty of pizazz to shake a stick at. We are very excited to be writing and rehearsing and are looking forward to playing shows this summer.

Long Overdue

Hello Everyone,
It has been awhile since we last posted. We needed to check out for awhile and put ourselves back together again after Sabrina's passing. It has been hard but all the love and support from eveyone has been wonderful, thank you so much!

The Volunteer Pioneer EP is currently being pressed and should be ready by early May. It was placed on hold for obvious reasons, but is back in full swing with completely redesigned artwork to honor Sabrina. Check back for all the details on how to get your hands on a copy.

Pioneer New Year

It's been awhile since we last checked in, it hasn't been from laziness but rather busy-ness and a longing for a much needed break to recharge our batteries for the coming year. We must appologize for the long delay in the release of our EP due to matters out of our control. But never fear, we hope to have it in hand for the Jan 25th Makeout Room show.

We couldn't be more excited here in camp. We've finished tracking 7 songs for a yet to be titled EP and have moved into the mixing phase. Mr. Kittinfish was (and is) a pleasure to work with behind the boards and we look forward to posting new songs soon. Until then here is an unofficial track listing (in no particular order):

The great beast has finally given the ok for us to head into the studio and make a record. Our good friend Trevor (aka kittinfish moutain) will be manning the controls and helping us along the way. We are looking forward to it and are eager to share the results with everyone. Also, There is talk of doing a video with our new friend V - stay tuned.

Plans to have some merch are in the works (t-shirts, buttons, etc.) as well as some summer shows - its just a matter of time.
