move to Durango, go back to that silly silly school, major in art-business, study abroad and minor in Spanish, try to snowboard as much as possible, try to be in the ceramics studio as much as possible, walk dog every day, grow a vegetable garden, make lots of money, visit friends in far-off places, and graduate in the fall of 2010.

cutting excuses

Constant nagging of getting on and doing "something" with myself. Problem. Just don't know how to start, what to start, why to start.... passion's what i gotta figure out first. Don't know. Happier by ten times than last September, but no more excuses. Don't need them. YOU need them. Learning to cope with happiness, no worries needed. YOU worry. Indecisive, but just don't give a damn. Been creating and deciding and watching and figuring and taking notes, and things are good. I'll go anywhere.

went on the worst field trip of my life

spent too much time on the computer
saved enough money to buy Whiskey a new cage

Wish I was there
Current mood: bored

It´s the 5th week in Costa Rica, and just about time to be home.  Quite a relaxing trip, but towards the end here... a little too slow.

The start of the trip was awesome.  We met some people when we walked off the plane and traveled with them for two weeks.  We went straight to the Pacific beaches: Playa Hermosa, Jaco, all the way up to Tamerindo and Playa Negra... drinking, laying on the beach, doing nothing.

Then Chas and I went on our way by ourselves up to Fortuna and Arenal for a view days... scored a sweet rafting trip where I got bumped off the raft into a bunch of class 4 rapids, which was probably the most fun 3 minutes of the trip.

We got dropped off in Puerto Viejo where we stayed for 2 weeks, learning to surf, smokin ganja, getting a tan..... getting sick.  Chas was sick most of the time in Puerto Viejo, actually, he´s been sick half the trip.  So he got a fungus in his ear at the end of our time in Puerto Viejo, so we had to head back to San Jose early to go to the hospital..... and now we´re doing nothing in this dirty city and we want to go home to our clean houses and hot water.

And I want to go back to work and move into my own apartment and get a pet bird and go shopping and go to school and enjoy learning french and do art homework all day.  Yum.

Throwin down the cash

Damn. We got a sweet apartment at the top of the hill, right next to Fort Lewis. It's 2bed, 1 bath with a balcony, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and all sorts of fun stuff for $850/mo!!! Not the cheapest, but we also have access to 2 hot tubs, a gym, and cable.... plus we've got the top floor with the best view. And, to top it off, we went shopping at Walmart after we signed all the papers and Charlie's mom and my mom bought us a bunch of shit, like glasses and a broom and a mop!!! We don't even have to worry about anything until we move in on Aug 4th, and then we don't even have to start paying rent until Sept. 1!!!!

And I got a sexy wireless keyboard and mouse. Hurray for Bluetooth!!!!!

Things are pretty damn sweet right now.

Coming around

I'm getting better. Not finding reasons why everyone sucks. I need to get out of the house some more. Back to hiking, biking, drawing, doing things. I should start by cleaning my room so I don't have to wade through my clothes.

I think I'll make it. School's over in just a month and 8 days. I've got A's in all my classes, and just recieved $8000 in grants toward my college expenses. All my tuition's paid for, and I got a raise working for my dad, so I'm pretty set for next year. Rent looks like it's going to be $1000, since Charlie and I each want our own rooms... hopefully I can pull that off. I've got almost all the money I need for Costa Rica saved, but there's a never-ending list of things I need before school starts. Growing up is kinda scary.

I want a $1000 camra for my graduation present, so any donations would be much appreciated ;)

Back to the Same-Old
Current mood: rejuvenated

So, it's been 4 days back to this culture.. and I've finally gotten my head on straight I think.

Layed-back Hawaii to 3rd-world Costa Rica.... back to this town where nothing changes except the massive amount of development that's occured in the 3 weeks I was gone. Is that Sonic they've just started building next to the brand-new Giant?!

Beers aren't 50 cents here like it was down in Pavanos, so it's hard to support my newly developed drinking habbit-- I must cut down. I actually already started. I noticed my beer belly coming along by the 5th day in Costa Rica, so I switched to Sir Jose. With a little salt and lime to help it down of course, since I'm still a pussy and can't take shots like a man. Not as many people will buy you big bottles of Tequilla like they will beer though....


Last night Chass, his bro and I cruzed out to Jesse's and partied Pagosa-style with a bunch of our old-time friends. All the ones who've been off doing their own thing for a year now and are visiting for the summer. It's great how some people never change.


I got a new cell phone, which I can now sport around since it's a few ounces lighter and can take pictures!!! fuckineye, I know. So call me, since the only people who I've recieved calles from are my mom and Kirsten. Yeah. 9709466204.
