War Within Takes The Grand Prize / Big John, Nightmare Fest, Rock Legends at The Music Ranch

Hey Fiends,

 We have found the 'Gods Of War' and the elusive Grand Prize was swept last night by 'WAR WITHIN' from Tennessee. All hail these Titans as they ride off into victory and secure their name as 'The Best Of The Best' in our hallowed halls.Once again we prepared for a long season in the arena, and 'once again' the entire competitions were over in 5 weeks. So 'War Within' is gonna get a phenomenal prize pack from our sponsors, and yes, they will be headlining the industry Showcase in September. Again, all hail the Grand Prize Winners of 2008..

So here's what we're gonna do. Since a victory was met so early in the season, and a lot of bands were left hanging. We're going to stage a couple 'one off' competitions like we did last year. This means we'll have two more weeks in the arena. Next week it will be a 'national' free-for-all, and the following week will be for Florida bands only. The staff chose 10 of the best bands each week for competition (best we can do). Unfortunately, we can't get our sponsors to offer up an enormous prize, but these bands will battle for a slot at 'The Rock Solid Pressure Industry Showcase 2008'. And that's a 'helluva' prize worth fighting for. Have any of you actually 'attended' one of the Showcases? Then you know what we're talkin about.  IN THE DUNGEON WITH BIG JOHN: Those of you that are avid viewers of VH-1's 'ROCK OF LOVE' really got a treat last night when Big John stopped by. Big John is one of the coolest people you'll ever meet and we can't wait to have him back on the show. Helluva party at the Bret Michaels show too (We're still hungover)

Our good friends BILL PASCALI (Vanilla Fudge), and CHARLIE SOUZA (Tom Petty, Cactus, Gregg Allman), are teaming up with JAYBO KEY (Springsteen, Blue Oyster Cult, Utopia), and PUG BAKER (The Knack, Ghostriders) for a psychedelic journey through the annals of Rock.  NIGHTMARE METAL FEST: Ok, so this show is like the talk of the world right now. We wish we could announce some of the surprises that are going to happen at this 2 day festival, but we can't (just yet). All we can say is mark your calendars for March 21st and 22nd, and 'plan' to be in Florida at Bourbon Street for this first annual 'Metal Festival'. The stench of battle was in the air tonight as the arena opened once again for the mighty 'Rock Solid Pressure Radio Competitions'..The quest for the 'God Of War' is once again under way. Who will wear the crown of underground glory this year?
