Cutting - Self Injury // New Photography Art

Well, I sat up until wee hours working on this. I couldn't stop working on it. It is inspired by Plumb's song "Cut". You can hear it here...or play the video below.
I found myself getting away from my calling only to find my way back again with the creation of this picture.
This is for all those who are involved in self-injury. Know that you are loved. You are not alone. You are not a failure. You are not worthless. You are not Fu**** up. You are not unloved. You are not trash. You are not ugly. You are not worthless.
Did you hear me? YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
You are so beautiful. You are a wonderful creation. You were fearfully and wonderfully made.
The God of this universe loves you. His light makes the darkness flee. He holds you in his hands. There is life in his blood. He poured that blood out for you. Just for you! Now the blood that you spill, He refills. He wants to heal your heart!!!

Very Important
Send us an email providing specific detailed instructions as to what you would like have done to change or improve your photo. Attach the photo image file to this same email.
Digital Photo Files:
to send us an email with your photo file attached.
save your photo image file in the highest quality level possible. The file should be stored in the JPG format. This means that the file will have ".jpg" as the file extension.
All digital camera models and associated photographic software will allow you to save your photos at various quality or compression levels. The higher the quality (same as less compression), the clearer your photo. The down side of this is that the file will be larger and consequently take up more space on your computer's storage disk. It will also take longer to send to us over the Internet, but the quality of the final product will be superior.
Please be sure that you know where you have placed (i.e. stored) your photo file on your computer's storage disk. You will need to find it (e.g. browse for it) in order to attach it to your email.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding how to save files and sending them to us. We want to make this process as easy as possible for you
Regular Photographs:
If you have regular photographs that you would like to have edited or restored, please send us an email to discuss how to send them to us by regular mail.
Pricing . . .
We don't apply standard pricing for all orders regardless of complexity. Some jobs are less demanding than others and therefore do not require as much time to complete. In these cases, the cost will be less. By quoting each project separately, we keep your costs down by not charging one standard amount regardless of the complexity of your job. You don't pay us until you approve the "Proof" photo that will be emailed to you.
Estimated price ranges are from $15.00 - $69.00.
Remember that you are not obligated to pay anything until you accept our "Proof" photo - so send us your photo files and ask for a free quote!
Why is there a "Basic Service Fee"?
Most pictures require basic color, saturation, contrast, and lighting enhancement. Some require centering, resizing, and perspective adjustment. We also enhance sharpness and clarity when needed.
If these adjustments are not needed, we still have to cover the cost of customer service, advertising, web design and emailing the finished photos. This small basic charge helps to defray these costs.
Background change:
Sometimes we get a very good shot that we really did not expect to get (especially when kids are involved), only to see that the background was very mundane or distracting. If only there was a better background.

There were so many things that happened to me, especially as a little girl.I thought God had abandoned me.I thought no one could save me.No one could make it right.No one will punish that person.No one knew.I wasn’t telling.He wasn’t telling.It tore this child’s soul to shreds.At that moment, that little girl became a slave.A slave that would live in a foreign land with foreign people hoping with every breath to be set free.Waiting!Tears of hope turned to tears of anger.Questionable lies became embedded lies that dug their way to the bone.Waiting for a Savior and getting none.
Each one could have been a savior but was not.Each worse than the other.They talked the part.They played the part. Lies.I so willingly took in lies even knowing what they were.
Longing for hope but none was found.
Longing for peace but none was found.
Longing for love but none was found.
Deeper and deeper - despair and depression.Trying to be who everyone wanted.A shift to rebellion. All out war.No one was going to conquer me.My walls were firm.
Now I’ve lost who I am.Did I? Yes, so very long ago with a touch of a hand.
My soul cries silent tears.No longer are they allowed to flow.They rise behind a dam waiting to burst through.Held only for a moment.
Who am I?Who am I?I scream inside longing for the answers and hearing none except my own lies etched in bone.

Recently, I’ve been stirred to reach out to those who have been through similar things in life that I have. So I’m just going to list some things and leave it open for discussion. What ever comes up...if you find that something rings true with you...I’m here to talk to.
Molested as a young girl: Lie: You can’t trust anyone; No one loves you; You are worthless
Preacher’s kid: Lie: You can’t trust anyone; Everyone has a hidden agenda
Pregnant in High School: Lie: You can’t trust anyone; No one loves you; Everyone is just using you; No one can save you; You are worthless; God will not forgive you
Depression: Lie: You are never going to get out of this; Look what you did to yourself; Don’t trust anyone; You are powerless
Scratching Crosses in my arm: Lie: No one can save me; No one loves me; No one really cares; It’s hopeless
Healing: Truth: I am the Daughter of the Most High God. He loves me and will never stop loving me. I am beautiful in his eyes. He made me unique...no one can do what I’m made to do. He will take all my pain. He cried every tear that I cried. He will right all wrongs.
