I am always reminded of the great seventeenth-century violinist, Niccolo Paganini, and the lesson he left behind while performing a concert one evening. He was playing his violin when suddenly a string broke. Much to the surprise of everyone he continued to play his violin with only three strings. In amazement the audience continued to marvel at his ability to play on the three remaining strings. However, due to the pressure he was placing on the remaining three strings another string snapped. Without stopping, he shut his eyes and continued ever so slowly to pull his bow across the two strings, never playing a sour note. At the end of his concert he made one final emphatic push of his bow upward across the two remaining strings and another one snapped. The crowd went crazy. They stood, cheered, and seemingly realized that they had just witnessed the most amazing display of musical magic ever performed. Paganini, however, wasnt done. With the crowd standing in amazement, he stood silently and motioned for them to be seated. He then stood on his chair and raised his arms, with his bow in one hand and his violin in the other, and proclaimed, I have never yet performed a concert without giving an encore, and tonight will be no different. Ladies and gentlemen, Paganini on one string! He played his one-stringed violin for another five minutes. At the end he simply bowed and left the stage.

This was a powerful message for me. Too often we focus on what we dont have instead of what we do have. We stress over what isnt working instead of what is working. Some people worry themselves to death over what they cannot do instead of making the most of what they can do. Have we no more confidence in ourselves than that? What accomplishments are we missing out on because we think we cant achieve them? What would the concert have been like if Paganini had stopped playing when the first string broke?
 
If a string breaks this week, make sure you keep playing.

This is was to me by Donovan, and I thought I should share it with all of you!!!
Two Horses



There is a field, with two horses in it.



From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.



This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse’s halter is a small bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.



As you stand and watch these two horses, you’ll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn’t too far behind to hear the bell.




Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.

Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....

Good friends are like that.. you may not always see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I’ll listen for yours.

And remember..be kinder than necessary- everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I dont usually get this frustrated....

Okay, I try and stay very professional, and I am by nature a pretty private person when it comes to how I feel, but this has been on my mind a lot lately.

What I would really love to know is where the integrity of people has gone? Where has the pride and self respect everyone has had for their soul, their career, their family, and their passions gone? When a woman compromises what her soul tells her is right, that part of her soul dies and slowly she becomes a shell of what she used to be. She knows what she should do but its hard in this world to rise above the norm, the sins and the material indulgences. When a man cheats on his wife, his girlfriend, or cheats a friend out of something he has promised them, does he REALLY get ahead? or does he slowly start to lose a sense of what he once stood for? And when he finally ends up not knowing who he is or where he came from, what does he contribute to this world that is positive?  What the world needs to focus on, ESPECIALY the people blessed with the means to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, is the things that enrich the very being of a person. The thing that makes a person go to sleep at night and actually look forward to waking up the next morning, optimistic of what the new day may bring.

I may be getting a little deep and serious right now, but I moved to LA and I see the people that line the streets and dont have anything to look forward to the next morning, I see the people in my industry that seem so happy....but like me they are so alone. What fulfills us as humans is not other humans but the spirit, the soul, the heart!!! The number one thing that will fill all those spaces is integrity. Self Respect. Self Love...whatever you want to call it!

We need more of that....stop gathering in the streets and provoking violence in effort to "Bring home our troops!" and start to remove the negativity and hostility from your own heart.

Begin on your own soul before judging that of others.

Stop blaming the government for little things, when you know inside that you have  much to improve upon!

I like this saying, "Do not throw stones when you live in a glass house." If your looking for a charity, or an argument look in the mirror, chances are there is plenty to work on.

I say these things  upon reflection and the self discovery that comes in the business I am in, not to condemn or judge anyone. I believe in self responsibility and peace and love, yet we cannot ignore the fact that by having these opinions, some people of the world want us to suffer.

I have a second degree black belt in karate. If I am attacked on the street I am not going to lie down and take the blows, and say " I will not hit them back because they need more love", I MUST FIRST PROTECT MYSELF, and then I can begin to forgive them for what they have done to me. The US Government must do the same. The world needs love, but we cannot love if we are blown to pieces....

Not trying to be funny but this is all a reality...

With this note, I want to inspire all those reading to tell their friends, or repost this bulletin. I want you to reflect on your life and improve it. Tell your family and friends you love them, work harder for your goals, and try something you want to do. Life is short and the quality of our lives may very well be judged by the positive intensity with which we live it!

Answer the questions at the beginning, in your heart and see if they inspire you to improve your life and that of those around you.

Friends...
I wanted to take a few minutes and say a great big Thank you all my friends and family,  especially to all those who have been so supportive of me and all my crazy ideas.  I recently moved to Los Angeles,  and so many of my friends have been so helpful during the transition in the crazy Los Angeles City of Angels.  2007 has been a quite impactful year, professinally and personally. I learned a lot about myself and how I want to further grow as a woman I now understand my patterns and what it will take to break them. I am pushing myself to acheive my dreams and it has been very very hard at times.  But I am thankful for the opportunities that I have been given and thankful for all of you.

In order to set new benchmarks, you must challange yourself beyond comfort levels and familiar practices. To receive open love, you must give love openly.

I can only exceed expectations if my expectation of love and work put in is exceeded.

So let's love each other even more and even more openly without the fear of getting hurt. And let's also commit to moving beyond comfort zones in this new year and see what we can really accomplish!!

I found this on a friends pages...........and thought I would pass it on...it is soooooo true........"The World is Yours"

GOOD THOUGHTS = GOOD EMOTI.. POSITIVE OUTPUT = POSITIVE INPUT.... Period.

I believe that when you absolutley believe in something, it will happen. Maybe not in the same exact way that you thought, but, in a way. But then again, sometimes exactly.

So, if you absolutley believe in something bad, then yes, it will happen, or make you feel bad. Why then, why have bad thoughts.. Don't I have a choice?  It's simple. It's my choice to feel good or bad. Why ever feel bad. Or let anyone dictate the way I should feel?

You can create your day too. I wake up everyday and plan my day out while still chillin in bed. ..Which includes my attitude....I say everything I'm going to get done that day. I tell myself how grateful I am to be alive, workin, to have a great family, friends, how about having a working car that gets you from A - B - Z. Think of all the people in the world that don't have these essential things that we take for granted. THIS WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME.....
