12 Needles!....

Howdy,
This morning I went to get my biopsy. I gotta tell ya, I got a little nervious about an hour before the procedure, but got over it. It went pretty quick & I was out of there in about two hours. I was fine until just before the Nurse gave me some paperwork to take with me. Then I got a little light headed & had slight tunnel vision. So I sat in my car for a while before I drove home. YES, I drove myself. I only live about 2 miles from the Hospital & I'm kinda hard headed about stuff like that. Anyway, I slept most of today & I'll know my results in 10 days. The Doctor is optimistic & said that the sonogram looked good also. Just thought that I'd share.

Breast Cancer...

I had a friend (Rita) that died of Breast Cancer last year and it SUCKED big time. Now my Niece knows someone with Breast Cancer & she is taking steps to help. She is going to be in that 3 day walk-a-thon in San Diego in November to help raise money in the fight against Breast Cancer. Above & beyond that, She is also holding a Poker Tournament in Lake Elsinore on 6/30/06 to help raise money for the cause too (see flyer below). I would SURE LOVE to see the place sell out & I just know that my MySpace peeps are some hard core Poker Pimps. So get off your asses & meet me there. Lets RAWK DA HOWZ! Even if you dont play, come on down to party, have fun & cheer on those that do play. Who knows, you may even be moved enough to drop a little sum sum in the donation pot!

Just Sharing....

Hey Yall,
I have a little something on my mind that I have not shared with more than a few people. Now, for whatever reason, I just got an inkling to share with you too.
Anyhow, I recently had & still kind of have a cancer scare. I get physicals about ever 12 months or so and pretty much have everything checked thoroughly (might as well use that insurance). These days you just cant be too careful. I went in early February of this year & since I recently turned 40 (yes, I know Im old) my Doctor said that its time to start checking my prostrate. Well, after the initial joking and silly comments (Ive known this Doctor for a long time) he got silent & continued checking. Then he said that he usually does not examine that long, but he had found a small growth on my prostrate that he didnt like. After he finished the exam, he began to draw little pictures & explaining what he had found. He immediately told me to schedule some time to get a blood test over at the lab in the main hospital. He said depending on the results, he would either see me back immediately or set a follow up appointment for 3 to 6 months later.
Well, I have no idea why I waited, but it took me a month before I went to the lab for a walk-in test (no appointment necessary). A few days later I got a call from the Doctor & he said that my levels for whatever the heck he was looking for were on the high end of normal, but not enough to call me in right away. He does, however, want to see me in again around June/July and will have his Nurse call me a few weeks before the appointment date. He said not to worry too much, but he is going to monitor the growth. Yeah right, dont worry.
Now, not a whole lot of things really scare me, but this one really got my attention. If its not too much, keep me in your good thoughts.

I'm Gone....

...MySpace has really gotten weird. Most people here are TOTALLY fake and I'd NEVER speak to them if I met them out somewhere, so why do it here. A few of you are beyond that and I really enjoy speaking with & hanging out with you, but for the most part...MySpace has out lived it's usefulness.
I may check my mail for a bit longer, but by the end of the week I'll more than likely delete this account. I mean really, why have the account if all it does is bring misery to one's life? I can think of a lot of more productive things to do with my "free time".
To those of you that "really" know me I have another final thought before I sign off for the day... Got'cha, April Effin' Fools you Son's of Biotches! Hee hee hee....
