Death Star II is sick :( Sorry Tampa...

We are still in New Orleans because we had to take our brand new van, Death Star II to the doctor. She should be fixed tomorrow, but it's not looking like we're going to be able to make it to Tampa in time for the show. We are going to try. Sorry to anyone who was planning on attending. We will let y'all know what's up, if by some miracle we can make the show.....

UK Tour

We are spending our last day in the UK in London, wrapping things up with a show at the Camden Barfly this evening.
We have had a wonderful trip, thanks all around.

JUNO awards

Juno extravaganza tonight.. I suppose we should give some highlights of the weekend thus far for the folks back home..

1] Tim scoring a goal in the dying seconds of the first period in the Juno Cup is definitely up there.. He also got tackled by this guy below. Click.

2] Republik show was dope.. 200-300 person packed venue.. Great people in Calgary. Thanks so much for coming out!!

3] Feist is here. We are huge fans of her stuff. She won 2 awards last night.. Bam! Jill Barber played a song with Blue Rodeo which was awesome awesome awesome.. She was dressed very well. So well as a matter of fact I felt homeless or looked homeless more than felt homeless :)

4] Skratch Bastid played a dope set at the Hi-fi.. Great club and yes, great musique.. A sweetheart indeed.

5] Habs rule the world.

"Welcome to the Night Sky" out now in Japan (March 26)

We are really excited and honoured to have had the record released in Japan on March 26th through Imperial Records (woo!). Very lucky boys indeed.
I edited together some video from our trip to that far away land in February. Just got around to posting it on YouTube. Its on the main page, and other places, you’ll find it.
Hope you are all well. I think the spring season is finally showing up!

Tokyo

Ohio,
We arrived safely in Tokyo last night, had speedy sushi, became dazed from the light, tried not to run into anybody, and we are generally in awe.
Our friends here at Imperial Records (who are releasing 'night sky' here) have been so sweet thus far and we are very grateful that they have taken the initiative to bring us to this foreign land.
We have been taking snaps of us placed in this amazing place, we will materialize these for you sometime very soon.
We are about to get extremely busy... our first show is today, which is possibly tomorrow where you are. So hello from the future, all is well!
Thanks to all that came to the shows in Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle, and LA. It was a fine run of shows for all of us and hopefully for you too.

Off to the Ecma's once again.. Should be interesting. I think we are playing too many shows probably.. Fredericton will be plenty sick of us come Monday morning. Time to drink coffee and sit in the van and stare out the window for app 4 hours.. waaeh
