I cannot afford to pay my living expenses (rent, bills, food, etc) while I am going to college. I thought I could pull off carrying twelve credits (four classes) while working thirty hours per week at the sign shop, but the demands of the painting/illustration courses and my own inner need to do the best work that I can have rendered me impotent.

Three days ago I discovered two things:

1. The song "Into my Arms" from the movie Zero Effect is by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.

2. The cache of shared MP3 files my roommate and I have on our server contains six Nick Cave albums, one of which contains "Into my Arms."

Nick Cave might be my new Joy Division {who were my new Rasputina [who were my new Belle & Sebastian (who were my new Blackmore's Night -- who were my new Leonard Cohen)]}
