within my heart (yes, another blast from my past >smiles<)
Current mood: content
Category: Writing and Poetry

within my heart

always within my heart and never far away,
loving you in so very many ways,
you are the one who holds my captive heart,
holding tightly to me and never depart.

a thousand suns never comparing to the brightness of your smile,
to sail on the seas of love to travel the infinite miles,
to be lost within your kind and loving soul,
our bodies close within never out of your arms to hold,
lost in the depths of the bluest oceans and skies,
colors of life seen deep within your eyes.

the love and the wonders of life that i see,
i am as much part of you as you are part of me

"written in stone"~~~another blast from the past
Current mood: contemplative
Category: Writing and Poetry

another blast from the past...

written in stone

Hidden in forests dark and deep
beneath these rocks, does someone sleep?
what secrets lie beneath this stone?
Who was left here to sleep alone?
In such a place so far away...
was someone laid to rest one day?

Was it a person of noble birth,
hidden away in unconsecrated earth
due to some action they were guilty of?
Hidden away for an illicit love?
Or a child from a union such as this...
definitely one who would not be missed.

And I stumbled upon this lonely place,
if I gaze long enough I can see a face
O speak to me spirit and tell me your tale
let me pass through the gateway as the guards
lift the rail...

I shall write down this story that I see through your eyes,
For I possess such a knowledge that few do realize.
As I focus my thoughts on that faraway time
I can relive your memories that are etched in my mind
Your joys and your sorrows,
your pleasures and pain,
how they stole your tomorrows,
nothing of you remains...

As I prepare to leave you
I know I shall return once again,
for although I never knew you,
I feel as if I've lost a friend.

Blast From the Past: "Woman of Darkest Evil"
Current mood: intense
Category: Writing and Poetry

from my 2006 files...

Woman of Darkest Evil

She so claims to love him yet speaks of corruption
she is the harbinger of pain and destruction...
for where love was once now lies hurt and deceit
he has been torn down to his final heartbeat
where he begged for the truth she did work to deceive
now remaining to torment when he wishes to leave
so perceived as the trophy, the stud or the prize
no regard for the fact he is loving and wise
where the passions once blossomed now nothing to thrill
yet professes to love him and she always will
I feel much of his pain as I look in his eyes
I can see what she's doing more than most realize
hearing sad songs he listens with tormented heart
prays an end to this feeling of so torn apart

"Guardian Angel"
Current mood: hopeful
Category: Writing and Poetry

..> ..>

Guardian Angel

A lovely angel took my hand
she was gowned in flowing white
My Guardian angel, from Heaven's lands
to watch over me day and night.

The most beautiful light glowed all around
brighter than the golden sun,
With a voice that had the sweetest sound,
she said, "I shall guide thee, Little One''

We laughed, and played, sang songs of Praise,
and prayers of thanks to God  above,
And she spoke of all the many things,
we could do to show God our love.

To obey our parents, and teachers too,
And be kind to all others, that's the right thing to do,
To help our friends in their time of need,
and always be pure in thought and deed,

I'm glad the Angel came my way,
and will be my companion night and day,
And I am sure, if you want one, too,
God will send a Guardian Angel, especially for you.

Icy Hell
Current mood: sad
Category: Writing and Poetry

Icy Hell

I have spoken
But you have chosen not to hear
My spirit broken
Yet you refuse to lend an ear
I look for substance
And all I find's an empty shell,
I am condemned here
Within this tomb from icy hell.

"Tell Me"
Current mood: confused
Category: Writing and Poetry

Tell Me

Tell me how it all went down,
Tell me the whole truth
Tell me what gave you that frown,
Tell me about you.

Tell me about you, way back when,
Tell me of your childhood days,
Tell me how you moved around
Tell me where you stayed

Tell me when the monsters came
Tell me what you saw
Tell me how you lived thru it
Tell me, tell me all.

Tell me all the ways to deal
Tell me of your pain
Tell me how it made you feel
Tell me what's in your brain.

Tell me, that I'm just like them,
Tell me, I'm that strange,
Tell me, do you hate me too?
Tell me, did I change?

Tell me, don't you think I know,
because I've seen this too,
Tell me, now before you go,
Tell me, how to reach YOU.

Vision

"Visions are like dreams, only they occur in the waking state."

-Carl G. Jung (1875-1961)

Vision's Desires

On nights such as this
would be the best times
To share a secret moonlight kiss
to chant the ancient rhymes
on nights such as this
when the moon is high
and indigo darkness colors the sky
And a vision of desire shall be this night
Granted wish to one who waits
Longing to make real her secret Sight
To make the passage through the astral Gates.

I shall cloak myself in the velvet black
which waited for me in the cedar chest
A gift from my lover, one year back
Worn the night I passed the final Test.
Waiting for the clock to strike the hour
Soundless steps toward the circle I glide
Lantern in hand, casting light on the flowers
Blood-red rose petals scatter'd over the altar wide.

This shall be my place to rest, and wait
Closing my eyes, as they chant,
As the distant bell tolls the hour, I accept my Fate,
And now above me, he stands magnificent and tall;
Gazing down at me, his love shining in his brilliant eyes,
Moonlight shining on the raven hair, of this man I love above all,
For whom I would gladly my own life sacrifice.

I do not waken till his touch
Shall rouse me from my slumber,
As finally I taste the Kiss I have longed for so much,
And the night is shattered by lightning and thunder,
My waking eyes gaze into the radiance of his own
Favoring me with that smile of pure delight,
Holding me to him, he welcomes me home,
Belonging only to him, our eternity beginning tonight.

A poem, this Monday" and a free ride to my "Experimental Journey"
Current mood: creative
Category: Writing and Poetry

hello dear Friends and Readers:  I know Monday is nearly over, for some of course it's already Tuesday in other parts of the world, look out here it comes she's going to rrrrrramblllle (only kidding I'll try to be slightly less verbose than usual~~~HA!!!)

okay, first poem, "this Monday" just a brief little thing tapped out on the old keys maybe half an hour ago...

this Monday

Monday, Monday,
for once a fun day,
the start of the week
right after Sunday,
A day that's usually
the color of blue,
but then I started writing
some poetry for you.
and that helped put a smile
right back on my face,
gave my day better focus
and some style and grace.

Okay, since you've been so nice staying with me so far, here's the bonus...the free ride via this little link here to my AOL blog, "Peninspirationals" to a poem called "Experimental Journey"~~~I would have posted this on MySpace, only problem was I wasn't able to get the album posted in the blog here, so you may view the poem and album in its entirety; some of the pictures correspond to certain parts of the poem...it also saves folks who have trouble with graphic loading on here.  Enjoy!!!

well, as they say, "that's all she wrote"(well, me...you get the idea LOL)

Current mood: touched
Category: Writing and Poetry

written about a young girl named Ivy, character of fellow MySpacer writer Doug, a friend and fellow writer...it's a wonderful story, done in the form of a young girl's diary entries.  I have inserted the link to the particular entry of a week past, however I highly recommend you read the archives to "meet" this sweet young girl; and leave a comment to Doug as well.

Myspace.com Blogs - Ivy- writing by moonlight - Doug MySpace Blog    (the link, of course )

Ivy

Writing by moonlight
Young girl, alone
so as not to disturb others
sleeping at home
sitting in the outhouse
as time nears dawn
and hoot-owls cry
the sounds of her home.
Wondering of others
at another address
a childless couple
with little happiness,
She in her thoughtful way
pondering their strife
This brave girl, Ivy,
living her simple life.

"so precious"
Current mood: pleased
Category: Writing and Poetry

so precious

Oh,so precious the gift, that my love sends to me
the words of his heart, written in poetry
to cherish forever in memory and heart
remembering time spent together, when we are apart

each page gently folded,  stored neatly away
to read over and over on a cold rainy day
or even on days when the sun warmly shines
and I thank God for sending you here to be mine.
