7:01 PM - Taking a moment to relish in my riches...
Current mood: satisfied
When you reach a point in your life that you are aware of the world around you, but choose to keep a thankful heart for the blessings you have... Things can change.
I suppose it is just another lesson to be learned... But I feel as though I am one of the luckiest people alive.
I have an incredible family. My father is a fucking genious behind the steel guitar, and as well my hero. My sister and I have one of the greatest friendships anyone could possibly ask for. My friends... God, my friends...
Each and every single person in my life has no idea how much they mean to me. Who you choose to sorround yourself with can make or break your sense of happiness. And I suppose I was just so lucky as to have amazing people nearly fall into my lap.
On a semi-different note: When you meet a person who truly makes you want to be a better person, for your sake, for the sake of shedding more light into their life, and for the sake of the world...
That is something special.
I truly feel for, love, and cherish so many people in my life... And there are just days you want to tell the world, you know?
:)
That's all.

6:03 PM - What is freedom?
Current mood: Inspired.
"A free person is one whose exotic energy has been liberated and can be expressed in increasingly more beautiful and complex ways."
THE CAUSE:
Because we need so much. Because we truly believe our existance in this place has to mean something to the rest of the world. Because we, in some way, must feel superior to something. Because we are selfish.
We are so scared to listen. We are afraid of the truth within the silence. Afraid to re-evaluate our culture's worth. Because we are arrogant.
Behind the music, the trains, the birds outside, the rattling of turning pages, the churning of the people above your apartment in the early morning; there are no boundaries.
And we need boundaries. To feel secure. To feel sane. To inevitably fit into society's concept of what we are and know.
Because we want to be able to justify buying the newest addition to the Louis Vouitton collection with the knowledge others will marvel and bow at our superiority. Because we are robots. With each switch that is pulled, a trained reaction follows. We are the barriers to our unreachable freedom. Because we search for freedom in every place but that which will allow... our minds. Cause and effect. Like machines.
THE EFFECT:
This is why we refuse to listen.
Because silence is dangerous and frightning. Because we are afraid to discover within the silence, is the very thing we spend our lives running from... ourselves.
We are noise-aholics. We are quiet-ophobics. We desire constant noise.
Be free.
Forget about the shit.
Let go.
Life is beautiful.
Be happy.
"You are only as free as you will allow yourself to be."
