I Don’t Care About you; Fuck you.
Current mood: fighting the foo

hey, see the semi - colon? that is used to distinguish two distinct thoughts. learn it. live it. love it.

I love the new Quizno's commerical where they show a woman eating a five dollar bill and they have to put a disclaimer on the bottom of the screen that says "Dramatization. Do Not Attempt.".

God, you fucking people are stupid. And multiplying.

THE TRUTH ABOUT LEONARD COHEN...

I was 18 years old. I had a shrink named Howard Smith. I hated him sooo much. He asked me what my interests were, and when I told him that I liked to read, he asked what kind of books. I told him that I liked the beat writers. Kerouac, Burroughs, Ginsberg, Corso....

He asked me if I had ever heard of Leonard Cohen. I told him that I hadn't. He said "well, I'll make you a tape. I think you'll really "dig" it. (he really said that). He sounds like Dylan because it's not musical, but the lyrics are incredible."

I said sure, make me a tape. He gave me the tape, I sat through the session, went home and popped the tape in. It was amazing. It was the best of Leonard Cohen, and it really was the best of Leonard Cohen. I was dumbfounded.

Why had I never heard of him before? Why were they keeping me from him?

The post script (and really the best part of this) is that the B side was a recording that his daughter did. I could tell that he had dubbed in on there. Just for me. Her song was about crazy people and pigeons and New York City, and how she looked out her window and tried to find a reason not to jump. I understood him including it, he was proud of her, for creating...yet....

I don't need to tell you. You already know.

SOMETIMES, DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

As many of you are painfully aware, one of my favorite things in the world is the game "Guitar Hero". One of my other favorite things is the band X. I've often wondered how wonderful a world where these two things came together would be. Next Tuesday, I find out. "Los Angeles" is featured on the 80's version. Along with "Police Truck" by the Dead Kennedys.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to pull a muscle.

DRUGS ARE NICE...AS LONG AS THEY'RE THE WHITE ONES
Current mood: QUALLLLLLLLLLLLLUDES

I've been injured at work! i tore the lateral quad thigh blah blah blah....so i was at the company doctor place today and they guy said, "hey, it's going to be about 45 minutes, someone just came in with a laceration." i read every magazine they had and five minutes later realized i was going to be bored. they had a huge plasma high def tv that was on some propaganda "health" channel.

really, it was one big drug commercial. the thing is, this is the place where people come to get drug tested. oh the hypocrisy. drugs are bad, we want to make sure you're not taking them, because if you do, you are unsuitable for hiring. yet....they want me to take drugs. their drugs. the ones with no soul.

i also saw a wall chart of various drugs and their street names, medical names, effects, how long it stay in your system...etc etc. the one for cannibus said that for an infrequent user, it only stays in your system for 3-5 days. 10 for a regular user. that is much shorter than conventional wisdom holds. very interesting....

also, qualudes were listed on the chart. i thought qualudes were gone? is there an underground group of qualude users? where do i sign up????

ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS...
Current mood: suckabagofdicks(he stole that from me)

i don't normally do this, but i urge anyone who hasn't already to check out Louis C.K. He is so good, Dane Cook stole his act. I have one of his videos on my page, give gordon lightfoot a rest, and check out the video.

He kind of reminds me of Bill Hicks.

Well, only because Denis Leary stole Bill Hicks act, and got all the recognition and fame, while Bill was the man with the soul. The one who got it right.

He also had a great television series on HBO called "Lucky Louie". youtube has clips.

also, louis c.k. post his podcasts on there...you're all pretty smart, you'll find it.

SAVE THE WHALES, FUCK SCOTT DOYLE.
Current mood: ROADRAGE

As some of you know, I drive a HUGE truck all day around the streets of Boston. It really is massive. Driving a truck that big requires that other people not be assholes. I need their help to maneuver in traffic and whatnot. People do some really shitty, asshole-ish things. Every day. And invariably, they have bumper stickers on their cars.

They read "Save the Whales!". Or "Love Your Mother" with a picture of the earth on it. "Pratice Random Acts of Kindness".

Here's a fucking clue, since you don't have one: Letting the big truck get out in traffic instead of leaving them hung up in traffic is a random act of kindness.

I think what really bothers me is that judging by their stickers, they all seem to be good people. They care. Just not about me or my truck.

Today it was "Go Vegan!!!" Fucking vegans.

Worry about what I drive, not what I eat, damn you.
